The Real Housewives of Vancouver aren’t all about money, parties and luxury brands. Well at least Jody Claman is sharing her wealth with the downtown east side by delivering homemade soup in Oppenheimer Park on Thursday, April 12, 2012. Whether or not it was a publicity stunt only she will know but I’m sure no one minds a bowl of piping hot soup.
Jody (who describes herself as “Martha Stewart on crack”)
runs her own catering company and high-end clothing boutique was shown supporting local businesses by shopping at Sunrise Market in Chinatown. Now shes seen in Vancouver’s east side feeding the needy, something the new reality star reportedly has made part of her weekly routine.
“My parents were both very, very privileged, born both with silver spoons in their mouth. And they taught us to believe in equality and treat all people the same. Sincerely. Just because you’re wealthy you should be treated differently?”
In the back of her black Escalade were eight pots of chicken corn chowder (organic) and dozens of slices of multigrain bread (home baked). Jody is also a strong believer of giving back and established a charitable association to help fight hunger in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (read more here). Today, she also owns a wildly popular West Vancouver boutique specializing in high-end luxury labels, a catering company, as well as a baby-wear store.
